Theresa Thorland, CTRS/ACC:
Theresa started her career in 1983 as the Activity Director/Volunteer Coordinator in a 60 bed facility and has worked in the Therapeutic Recreation/Activity field ever since. She is presently the Director of Therapeutic Recreation for the Good Samaritan Society-Albert Lea, MN. Her educational background includes a degree in Community Recreation and two Masters degrees: one in Health Education and another in Experiential Education. Theresa also holds two certifications as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and as an Activity Consultant (ACC). Theresa is an Adjunct Instructor for Ridgewater College in Hutchinson, MN, a pre-approved instructor to teach the MEPAP 2nd Edition course, and has co-presented at the Minnesota Care Providers Convention and numerous activity conventions. She is a Founding Partner of Quality of Life Alliance and a member of the Minnesota State Wide Activity Professionals. In 2001 Theresa was the recipient of Care Providers of Minnesota’s Rising Star Award.
Lynda J. Everhard, RHIT:
Lynda received her credentials (Registered Health Information Technician) in 1987 and has worked in long term care for 27 years. The majority of those years have been working as Director of Health Information Management. Lynda has consulted for facilities in the areas of health record management, and has co-presented at Minnesota Care Providers and various state activity conventions. Lynda currently works at Good Samaritan Society-Albert Lea, MN as Director of Health Information Management and Quality Coordinator, and is a member of American Health Information Management Association. Her true passion encompasses providing quality of care, enhancing quality of life for the residents, and survey management. Lynda values teamwork and truly enjoys helping others succeed in what we do as long term care professionals.
